NIEP Highways Meeting: 27 April 2010 Leicestershire City Council
Agenda summary; Review on-line survey and outline priorities. Agree next steps to focussed and structured action plan and proposal to submit to the NIEP. Identify key leads and agree roles and governance - links with other organisations.
Agenda included; update on Total Capital, NIEP for Construction marketing deliverables and workstream outline programmes. Procurement and bid rigging was presented by the Office of Fair Trading and Manchester’s approach to Building Schools for the Future.

for the Built Environment Workshop: 26 March 2010
The first workshop for Workstream 1 took place which focused on Procurement and Supply Chains.It was an opportunity to update both Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partners (RIEPs) and Central Government about the NIEP for the Built Environment and to openly discuss procurement and integration and the commitment to people.
Public sector pledge to safeguard construction industry's future – March 2010
The National Improvement and Efficiency Partnership for the Built Environment (NIEP), which coordinates the construction sectors of the nine Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships (RIEPs), is urging local authorities to adopt Fair Payment, by demanding more timely and transparent payment methods down the supply chain, to help the construction industry though the current economic climate.
